Digital Consulting, Inc. has been a California corporation since 2005. The security practice exists because the same questions keep arriving at companies from outside: a customer's security review, an insurer's renewal application, an investor's diligence list, a board asking what actually happens to the data.
Senior technical security leadership
Engagements are led by Edward Bonver, CISSP and CSSLP, who spent 25 years in product security and director-level roles at Symantec, Raytheon, United Technologies Corporation, Veritas, Arctera, and Cornerstone OnDemand, much of it answering enterprise security reviews from the vendor side.
He is a chapter leader of OWASP San Fernando Valley, and was a founding member of the OWASP Los Angeles chapter and of the OWASP AppSec California conferences. He served on the SAFECode board of directors as the Symantec and Raytheon representative, has published on software security in peer-reviewed magazines, and contributes to ISC2's CISSP and CSSLP exam item writing workshops.
What we do
We assess how your systems and products protect data, identify weaknesses, and help you address the most significant risks. We also help you explain your security practices and provide supporting evidence when customers, auditors, or other reviewers ask.
How we work
Our work includes security assessments, advice, and implementation. Your team or existing IT provider handles day-to-day operations, including monitoring, helpdesk support, on-call coverage, and system administration.
We do not sell security products, resell licenses, or accept referral fees. Our recommendations are based on your needs, with no financial incentive to steer you toward a particular vendor.
Before work begins, we agree in writing on the scope and deliverables. At the end of the engagement, we walk your team through the results, document any remaining work, and provide materials they can continue to use.
